GIVE YOUR CLOTHES A NEW HOME
We know how it goes. Sometimes you just fall out of love with your clothes. Or maybe you need a touch more room in your wardrobe for something special you've seen in store.
Whatever the reason, bring your unwanted clothes back to us and we'll find them a new home: re-selling, repurposing or recycling them through our partnership with Reskinned.
We'll also provide you with a £5 voucher for your next River Island shop, as a little thank you.
HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?
To take part, you need a minimum of three items from any brand, which you can drop off at boxes in 200+ stores nationwide, or organise a courier drop-off online (don’t worry, we’ll pay for postage)
You can donate any brand – not just River Island – so get sorting through that wardrobe. We can take bras, but not intimate items like pants, socks or swimwear.
For each separate donation of three items (or more), we’ll give you a £5 gift voucher for you to redeem off a £40 shop, valid for one month*.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY CLOTHES?
Whatever you give us, we'll get it into the hands of someone who will love wearing it as much as you once did. Whether it's women's, men's or kids' - we'll take what you're giving.
We’ll take any items you want to give us. If they’re in good enough condition to be worn again, then Reskinned will clean them and fix any small damage before selling them on.
If they don't quite make the resale grade, Reskinned will recycle them responsibly.
When you donate, our partner Reskinned will resell as much as possible, typically 30% of the clothes donated to them, with 40% reused elsewhere and 30% recycled. Absolutely nothing goes to landfill.

TAKEBACK SCHEME PROMOTION
Participate in our Takeback Scheme to receive a voucher code for £5 off full price items when you spend a minimum of £40 on items purchased in-store and on our website (www.riverisland.com). The voucher code cannot be used against our charity t-shirts, products in our sale, gift cards and third party products. The voucher code is valid to use once only either online or in-store in England, Scotland and Wales (excluding Jersey and Isle of Man) for 1 month from date of issue. The voucher code will be issued via an email from our partner Reskinned. This Takeback Scheme promotion is valid from 04 April 2022 at 00:00 (GMT). For in-store purchases please show your unique voucher code at the till and for online purchases please enter your unique code at the checkout to redeem. Returned items will be refunded at the discounted price paid on production of a valid receipt. The voucher code cannot be redeemed in conjunction with other offers and does not apply to delivery fees. River Island’s decision is final with regards to the validity of use of the voucher code in cases of suspected fraud.
